Thank You Mummy for My Birthday Print
June 1972

Mummy made me a cake

'Cause it's my birthday.

Hundreds and thousands

And fifteen cherries,

But just three candles

For me to blow out

One at a time,

'Cause I'm eating sweets.

To blow out with all my might

(Wide-eyed and wrinkled delight)

Those flames twinkling in my own eyes

And daddy's glasses.

And then we sing

(In thirds and fifths)

Happy birthday to Catherine

Many times over,

'Cause that's what it was.
